April Showers from Yours Truly

The last day of March was literally a day where the weather went through all seasons of the year in a matter of hours – almost like a true reflection of the chaos that goes on in our world it seems.

Wrap up warm and stay safe. April is only just arriving!

With that in mind, it is also one of the most beatiful months of new growth (in my humble opinion) and as we move forward after the spring equinox the energies are uplifting and strong paving a path of miracles.

On 1st April UnitedMind celebrated 20th Anniversary since the start as a provider of holistic therapies and personal laughter experiences.

What started in a spare room and a garden quickly developed into the professional training and event provider UnitedMind is today after becoming a Ltd company 5½ years after being founded as sole trader.

A recognised expert on Laughter Yoga and Laughter Therapy in the UK and the world.

I am so proud and immensely grateful for the many years of sharing Laughter Yoga and the life changing benefits that emerge both personally and professionally from the daily practice.

Thank you to all the awesome and truly special people and teams, organisations and partners who have invested and continue to invest in the professional services and training provided by UnitedMind.

You are the building blocks that keep raising the human foundation to new heights every day and your contribution and commitment makes a difference to many others.

I was excited to launch the new and refreshed look and feel of UnitedMind at the Corporate Wellbeing Expo in early March together with Laughter Yoga Teacher working together for positive change in the world. My gratitude to you.

And the biggest thank you to my daughter, Karen, who has been with me through all these years of doing ‘ma thang’.

If you are reading this on Monday 4th April UnitedMind is already in transition and I invite you to visit our refreshed look and feel on If it is still Sunday 3rd April for you please do check back on Monday.

Once again blessings and gratitude to you from me!

Cheers to another 20 years and more!

Keeping the things that money cannot buy in our hearts…

With Love, Friendship, Honesty, Kindness, Health, Hope, Goodness, Grace, Gratitude, Understanding, Faith, Peace, Forgiveness, Patience, Diligence, Love, Blessings and Joy

New branding – new look and feel

The UnitedMind website has been under re-development over the past 6 months is now ready to launch a new and refreshed look and feel, that will guide you more easily to the information you may be looking for in our pages.

The old logo has been replaced by a new design, also by myself but fully realised by Designer Ed Hollingsbee, just as I envisioned it when I first spoke with Ed about it almost 4 years ago.

In addition the new colours are ramming up a fresh and approachable look as a professional training and workshop provider.

I am extremely excited about it and hope you will visit regularly and read our news and check our events, get in touch with us and share laughter in the years to come.

For information and details about our workshop and training programmes, please contact via email

Have you met us on YouTube yet?

UnitedMind has been on YouTube for quite a number of years in fact since 2009 but you may not have visited recently – or even ever.

I would love to build the following as I share relevant and perhaps also less relevant videos with laughter, play and health as the ongoing theme moving forward.

Please connect with the channel on

There are some news-related videos in the Laughter Yoga in the News Playlist.

In 2020 when the world was turned upsite down and we experienced lockdowns on/off I started having ‘Impromptu Conversations’ with Laughter Yoga Key People from around the world.

These conversations were popular 45-60 minute talks/chats/interviews with professionals who have made and continue to make a real difference in many people’s lives on a daily basis.

Take out an hour here and there and listen to the conversations on YouTube Impromptu Conversations.

Please get in touch via email if there is Laughter-Yoga-related video content you would like to see shared on the UnitedMind YouTube Channel.

Second to None Benefits Part 3

Working with people, teams, and organisations in both puclic and private sector, brings experiences which have the potential to change lives including your own life as facilitator.

I have an experiential walk-in wardrobe size library of memories, feedback, comments and reveltations I treasure as the most precious materialist energy anyone can ever receive.

The standard benefits are worth a reminder as they are potentially available to us all when we practice Laughter Yoga every day.

When you laugh…

  • you lift your mood and it ripples into your day when you start with laughter creating great energy
  • you lower stress and boost your immune system
  • you bring fresh oxygen to your body and brain which makes you feel refreshed, alert and motivated
  • you are better at creating new and maintaining existing relationships making them fuller and more caring
  • you build resilience to cope with life’s ups and downs

Please bear in mind that a one-off experience can be great but the long-term effects truly break through with a daily practice.

In the early days of running The Laughter Club International (UK) in St. Albans from my back graden I had many regulars, one of whom was a gentleman who had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s.

The laughter club only ran (and still runs) monthly and he told me that he always looked forward to the exercises as they would provide relaxation to his facial muscles and allow him to show expression.

My laughter club member found the release of these muscles and it gave him freedom to show emotions when he laughed. I was introduced to the Bedfordshire Parkinson branch where I was occasionally invited to run laughter workshops over the years to follow.

The wonderful sessions at Bedforshire Parkinson’s taught me many valuable lessons, in particualarly in terms of never judging whether I think people get anything or nothing from a laughter workship. We all take onboard various learnings in different ways and responses are not always obvious.

This brings back a memore from before-mentioned organisation in Bedford where a gentleman was sat in a chair during a laughter session without as much as flicking an eye lash or eye lid.

However, the staff noticed the change as they told me later that there was a genine sparkle in his eyes that had only appeared from the shared laughter.

As facilitators we do not always know the miracles we bring to others but they are always arriving in one way or another.

There are many more benefits to laughing and I may continue to share them with their little stories and anekdotes as we move further into spring and summer, then autumn and winter.

I hope you will continue to enjoy reading about these extensive benefits of practicing Laughter Yoga, and even consider learning the technique for yourself or your group of people in your community or workplace so you, too, can make positive, live-able change count.

Reflection on the Corporate Wellbeing Expo 9-10 March 2022

We had an amazing experience at the CWE2022 at the London ExCel in March.

It was buzzing and it was also quiet at times but we all found it well-worth our time.

The two days saw many businesses come together with renewed energy and a real growth attitude.

It was a privilege to take part and although few other entrepreneurs felt it was maybe not their scene at the UnitedMind stand we agreed that there was great value for Laughter Yoga to be present at events like the Corporate Welbeing Expo.

Jannie, Nicola, Evrim, Karen and I took away numerous learning experiences and many new contacts both client- and collaboration-wise.

We would like to thank everyone who made their way past Stand 158 and gave os your time!

We are back at CEW2023, more information to follow.
