Summer and warm weather is upon us.

These ’30-degree’-days can easily become ‘aarrrgh-another-hot-day’-days, and laughing can make you feel even hotter.

It is important to remember that the days shift and become the ‘brrrrrr-so-cold’-days sooner than we remember, so make sure you nourish and replenish your levels of Vitamin S and feelgood vibes.

I think a lot and at the moment when nights are hot and sleep seems a distant memory I think even more, not always anthing that would make sense in the world of intelligent thinking but somehow it all makes sense to me.

When we lack sleep our bodies start deteriorating and the mind starts playing tricks on us, so make sure you utilise the restless hours if you, like me, find it a challenge to sleep while the heat warms our homes.

If you ever wonder what happens at night while you sleep, and find yourself being a ‘night owl’, here is why creating good sleep habits is essential to your body’s well (you may already know it all consciously or subconsciously).

During the night hours the body replenishes, regenerates, restores and allows for tissues to heal and recover.

The metabolism has a say in the matter and when we nurture the body with nutrients during the daytime there are specific times of the day that are ideal for feasting on foods.

You may think ‘I can never get up early’ and that is a choice and no judgment from me to you.

During the pandemic I tried this with the help of an Ayurveda programme from the esteemed Dr Sam Watts, where the target hours of getting up is 6:00-6:30, breakfast 7:00-8:00, lunch 12:00-13:30, and dinner at 18:00-19:30, then you stop eating at 20:00 and aim to be in bed by 22:00 for sleep at 22:30.

The times listed are the times your metabolism and ability to utilise the nutrients are at its hightest and most effective state.

It seems very regimented but to be honest, it really is just a habit and if you fall out at times of the brackets you are not going to die on the spot.

There are other habits that can help us big-time in getting the sleep and restoration that helps us be in top-form and at our all-time-high, like, no more blue-light after 20:00 so turn off your phone and other screens, don’t turn on light or look at the phone if you wake up at night, and make sure you write down everything you need to remember to do tomorrow.

Going to bed with thoughts of the day that passed and the day to come will keep your subconsciout mind busy and you will not get the complete and effective sleep required for all the good things sleep is supposed to provide.

Ha ha ha where did all that come from?

Oh, about being awake at night when it is hot…

Well, there is a lot you can do at night when you cannot sleep but it really is for sleep and refreshing you whole being.

Finding your groove is essential and not based on routines but based on what works for you, and for me? This works well and then I laugh some more.

Laughter Yoga as a daily practice helps you through the times when other areas of life may not seem optimal, and it helps you recover from what wears you down.

Discover your mojo through a daily practice of Laughter Yoga and you will find life will bring good things, only.

Really? No not really but it is all in how you view it all and THAT is where Laughter Yoga changes your life – adding the perspective that helps surf on top of the world.

And along the way adding the gratitude for being able to share laughter with so many people, both individuals and teams, organisations and big corporations willing to laugh at your events and privately.

Whether you want to facilitate, teach others, or coach individuals Laughter yoga is a full package that allows you to dive into an experiential sea.

When you first enter the world of Laughter Yoga it may be through a laughter session somewhere in a complany, a laughter club, or a festival, or somewhere else.

For some it takes years to return to that moment when the igniting thought of Laughter Yoga was sparked, and something happens that causes booking on a training course.

If you ever thought Laughter Yoga was great and you wanted to learn how to share it with others, now is the best of times to simply go and book your place.

Now is a good time!

There does not need to be reason why is a good time but if you think about it then think about where our world and our communities are headed and what is in fact missing in many people’s lives.

The next leader training in person runs in Hemel Hempstead on 13-14 September, in Preston on 23-24 October, in London/Stanmore on 6-7 December, online it runs in July on 3, 10, 17, 24 from 19:00-21:30.

At the end of your training you will receive your certificate and lots of supportive information.

Your training puts you in a great position to start sharing Laughter Yoga in a laughter club or in your workplace.

There are many dates listed both online and in person.

Online is a great option if your schedule does not match the in person dates and venues, or you can invite me to your venue to teach your group of minimum 4-6 people (number depends on where you are).

Training as a Laughter Yoga Teacher does not automatically imply you want to teach others to become Laughter Yoga Leader, but it is what you train to do if you wish.

The training engages all your senses and teaches you momentum, skills, and how to life a life full of fun and joy, play and laughter, accepting what you cannot change and change what you can and want to change.

It also teaches you how to teach the 2-day Laughter Yoga Leader Training so you can build and connect your own network of people who can start Laughter Clubs and share laughter wider that your own reach.

We discuss the approach to leading workshops in workplaces, corporate, health, schools, and other places where your passion for sharing laughter leads you.

The next courses run on 22-25 August 2025 and 21-24 August 2026. The course runs over 4 days, all days from 8:00 to 18:00, we have 36 hours of learning to get through…

You may not wish to be a teacher but the training teaches you much more than becoming a teacher, and it allows you to take the next step on your Laughter Yoga journey.

There are few natural things in life more connecting than laughter, and we have it within us to share abundantly.

However, we often forget our laughter when we grow into being responsible adults with serious commitments in life.

Laughter Yoga reconnects us with the feeling of connection with ourselves, each other, our playfulness, our laughter, and all of the goodness in the known universe.

The 8-week Laughter Coach programme helps your one-on-one clients do exactly that, reconnect with their spark.

Your training is a 1-day online Laughter Coach Training which runs once (sometimes twice) a year, next time on 26 July 2025, then 24 January 2026, and the requirement is that you are a Laughter Yoga Teacher.

It is a big responsibility to become a Laughter Yoga Leader, Teacher or Coach, but you are not alone, you join a large network of people in the UK and the world who want to connect and share the joy and health that arrives with laughter, with your communities, family and friends.

Since 2007 I have been running the entry level Laughter Yoga Leader course in person and since 2010 I have run the course online. In 2010 I also discovered the Laughter Yoga One-On-One Coach programme and I loved it so much so I started teaching it to Laughter Yoga professionals. It was in 2012 I started teaching Laughter Yoga Teachers and expanding the width and breadth of what is possible with Laughter Yoga near and far. Over 2,000 individuals have trained with me since the first start of my teaching journey.

There is a lot os milage in LEGO!

When Mel and I met to discuss a Laughter Therapy dissertation last month we discussed many other things including our work.

On Saturday 6th September we are running a workshop from 10:00-15:00 where we combine play therapy with LEGO, and meditation.

Mel will be in charge of the meditation side of things and I will facilitate brick laying.

The workshop will be held in Stanmore, North London, 10 minutes walk from the final stop on the Jubilee Line, and the fee is £30 per person, book via this link to the shop.

…what a lot of nonsense!

Gibberish really is the language of nonsense.

I remember when I first started teaching Laughter Yoga Leader Training and my big ‘fear’ was the part of the training that was Gibberish.

It was a part of the training course so I had to teach it, but I did not like it because I could not get my head around it.

That is the error – you cannot get your head around Gibberish because if you do try then you miss out on what it is all about, the letting go of thought and becoming playful.

Gibberish connects directly in with the inner spirit of laughter where there is no judgment, and if you try to thing yourself out of how to speak Gibberish it will come with a lot of judgment.

It is an essential and liberating tool for letting go of control while staying in charge, how is that even possible?

A day full of Gibberish is your investment in yourself and your sanity, your argument-preventative toolkit for communicating clearly and without the need to be right and in control, simply remaining in charge of your own mind and emotions.
