When we returned to school back in Year 2 we were given the task to write a story about our birthday month. I wrote about September and the falling apples.
Much has happened since that year back in the 1970s and my birthday has later become one that goes down in history as a date to remember…
It was a day 19 years ago when tragedy struck our world in an unimagined way, where greatness pulled us together through our losses and grief with a vision of a peaceful world with no tolerance of violence and terror.
We still have quite a way to go. All these 19 years later we are now backing each other even stronger although it sometimes seems as if we are tearing each other and the world apart.
We are one world.
Those thoughts move me into thinking of my over 20 years of being somewhat involved with Laughter Yoga, from the first moment in January 2020 when I knew this was my calling (without any religious connotation to it) up until today when Laughter Yoga is hugely needed in our world of uncertainty.
One true certainty is that change happens and Laughter Yoga is one powerful and empowering change remedy.
Laughter brings us close to spirit. Religious or not, spirit is the energy of our core, our soul, and when it soars to great heights through laughter we are at peace and we are in love with life and all there is.
It takes the willingness to being in the moment of the laughter and joy. It takes the willingness to let go of judgment of the self and others.
In that moment there is only laughter, connection, joy, non-judgment and joint-hearted mirth.
Laughter Yoga is a really spiritual practice! A true soul trip.
Spritual is nothing to fear as it is simply our relationship to the human spirit or soul as opposed to material or physical things.
This is who we are. And who we are being is not always spirit but one we are slowly becoming.
Moving on in this world where we have been facing vast adversities on so many different levels there is no doubt that we will win the battles of the present and the future through our energetic merge with joy, compassion and love!
These were my humble thoughts on one of the final days of August as we move into September with its dropping leaves and apples.
As always, I am Your Everyday Laughter Queen – and nothing is quite as serious as it may seem, yet everything is rather profound.
Wishing you health and happiness!
Love, Laughter and Peace
