A Seasonal Reflection from Yours Truly
This day and age a lot of activites and what seems to be life happens online on numerous social media platforms.
This is the progress we have jointly created and some may enjoy it while others find online life a real challenge to fathom and maintain.
My business is built around real connections as well as an online presence I maintain daily and build together with professionals who know more about what they do online than I maybe do.
It doesn’t stop me from being active online, though.
However, people are important. Human beings were never meant to be isolated from each other – that is why we have laughter (and other significant features to being human). To keep us connected!
In November I visited my native Denmark, spent some wonderful days with my mum, and went to get my hair cut by the hairdresser I chose for a super important event when I was 13.
I have kept having my hair cut by Michael ever since, although I am not very good at regularity. So bad so it was 10 years since last visit.
The same was the case with my bestie, Henriette, who I was so chuffed to see on her birthday, same day as my haircut. We laughed and cried and laughed some more, in between lunch, coffee and cake.
When you are friends time flies and you are still friends even when it has been such a long time.
It was a busy visit that ended by the Dodekalit stone-people formation where I was joined by my Laughter Yoga buddy who first became my friend in 2011 when we met at the Laughter Yoga Teacher Training in Interlaken.
The importance in this sharing of my personal visit to Denmark is that people are super-wonderful in person.
We can easily keep in touch via the online apps and places but spending time meeting in person when possible really beats any Meetup, Skype or Messenger video chat. So I went to the Ideal Home Christmas Show with more friends.
My Laughter Yoga Tribe is spread all over the country and do my best to reach out when I am around different areas.
I was so fortunate to see Noreen whilst teaching in Durham, and she could tell a few stories about her own Laughter Yoga journey, since training last August, to the new Laughter Yoga Leaders.
The essence is to stay connected in real life and to life. Meet with people, hug them if that is for you, laugh with them, tell your stories, shake hands, stare into someone’s eyes, laugh some more, cry with them, be quiet with them and tell them how much they mean to you in your life.
You are my kinda folk and I am on a mission to visit more Laughter Club around the UK from the new year than previously. Many started based on teachings I carried out and many new laughter clubs have started based on teachings from Laughter Yoga Teachers trained by me.
We are totally connected.
In 2020 we even have a Laughter Yoga Meeting for all Laughter Yoga Professionals on 25 January and a Laughter Yoga Teacher Reunion in August.
Until we laugh again!
Love, Laughter and Peace

I was thinking about last year and The Playing Human Conference 2018 and remembering the people and the athmosphere. See for yourself…
Over the past many months I have been attending and deliveing Laughter Workshops at a variety of awesome conferences aimed at businesses and their ability to cope with change in the workplace.
So many thoughts have surfaced from these events and truly highlighted elements that seem to be recognised no matter who the organisers are, improving mental health, creating enjoyment in the workplace, sharing the stories, removing seriousness, creating strategies and fulfilling on them, how to, what to, when to – all of it leading on to maintaining and nurturing a joyful outlook on life through play methods and alternative activities.
Only 65 tickets left!
This month is about the conference and what makes it special, but we will be back introducing more speakers in January 2020 – including a few surprises…

Many years ago I worked in the technology sector, first as Technical Support Consultant and later moving into Product Management, Sales, Marketing and becoming Managing Director of a small software company at 24 years of age.
Back then we spent many days every year attending conferences and trade shows, building up our knowledge and understanding.
The biggest question I once got at an interview was whether I had knowledge or wisdom with reference to the solutions I managed, a bit like asking are you superficial or deep.
There was great focus on products and solutions and no one expected anyone to ‘go down with stress’.
Nowadays the staff is in focus because workplaces recognise the true value of nurturing their people into being healthy and content – not only at annual Christmas events and summer parties.
Today the buzzwords are different and for a long time resilience has been a thing to build and strengthen in any human being and organisation.
At Global Innovation Forum in London I heard a new word (new to me), ‘antifragility’, and it got me listening and thinking. Resilience helps us cope with life’s ups and downs but antifragility moves us forward with our hopes and dreams.
We start thinking about what perspectives may be missing and how can we shape our lives in an empowered way.
I loved the talks because they challenged me in my thinking.
This is what we should do every day, challenge ourselves, to the hardest thing first and scale it. Including scaling any failed attempts of success whatever that may look like because then you learn even more.
Celebrate successes as well as those ideas that didn’t go as planned, and let others in on your plans so you can give away control in order to drive excitement and engagement, inclusion and community.
The Laughter Yoga future is exciting and exhilarating.
One reason being, that we are closer now and we work together to co-create opportunity for change in the communities and workplaces, at home and professionally.
Laughter Yoga can seriously improve your business advantage.
