Change, Seriousness, and Laughter Yoga
Last month I mentioned how a lot of people come to laughter events because they face challenges and fears that have brought their laughter and joy to a standstill.
It doesn’t have to be this way.
Although Laughter Yoga may not be to everyone’s liking it is fair to say that it is a practice anyone can carry out and enjoy. Laughter Yoga is a way of exercising which increases the net-supply or air we bring into our respiratory system, into our lungs to refresh our blood and improve our circulation.
Research has shown that the amount of carbondioxide we have in our lungs is a direct measure of the level of stress we experience. Why? Because when stressed we do not breathe properly but allow our lungs to perform shallow breathing movement, only exchanging about one third of the full capacity they have for holding fresh oxygen.
The way it affects coping with any change we go through can be seen in many ways in terms of our physical, mental and emotional health. If you think about the stale air (e.g. carbondioxide), trapped in your lungs when you are stressed and not breathing fully, circulating with your blood to your vital organs including your brain, then Laughter Yoga becomes a logical and healthy choice for anyone who leads lives with any type of stress-related elements.
One of the touching comments about practicing Laughter Yoga every day sums up many reasons for laughing:
One of The Telephone Laughter Club subscribers says:
The original difference the telephone laughter club made to me was enormous – I was off work with depression and living alone so getting up was not going well. The laughter club gave me something to get up for at a set time. By the time I’d laughed for 10 minutes, often more, I was energised and able to get on with my day. Now it still helps me get up at a good time but the main benefit is a positive start to the day. It puts me in a ‘can do’ frame of mind and connects me with my positive values. I’m much better able to deal with challenges. I have a sense that it tops up my capacity for joy and creativity.
Laughter helps us soften and see opportunity instead of hurdles, laughter helps us appreciate and be less judgmental.
Laughter Yoga is a tool for personal and professional development. A great way forward on an everlasting route of change!

Second to None training programmes
April sees the beginning of a new financial year for UnitedMind and upon reflection of the past years in business I can honestly say that the company has gone from strength to strength. This is essentially me but I am not a boasting type of person, I am simply passionate about the work I do together with a wide network of Laughter Professionals around the country.
Know laughter, do laughter, be laughter – a motto that embeds the philosophy of teaching Laughter Yoga. When your mind is soaked in laughter, your physical, mental and emotional body feels the benefits, and you are in it for the good of all people, that’s when your work creates itself.
Since learning about Laughter Yoga and taking on the special challenge of changing the world and in particular the face of Britain with a smile, the training and workshops UnitedMind provide have developed from laughter workshops to programmes of personal and professional development which challenge any workplace and organisation, individual and team, to be at their best at any time in a way where enjoyment and focus, motivation and achievement are key factors.
- Our workplace workshops are of highest standard, designed and developed with your specific group in mind.
- Our workshop and training programmes are based on proven methods and developed by professionals with medical as well as technical and business backgrounds.
Laughter Yoga may not be for everyone but until you have tried it and tried it more than once, you really can’t tell for sure.
I am committed to teaching people how to bring about the full range of benefits that Laughter Yoga delivers.
For details of our programmes, and the impact Laughter Yoga can have on individuals and teams, please contact me on email@example.com or phone 07736 341 717.
Laughter Yoga Teacher
Like so many other things in life. Except, Laughter Yoga is choosing health and wellbeing.
There is a huge interest in the 5-day teacher training and no wonder because the Laughter Yoga Teacher Training is truly where you move milestones and make important decisions. It doesn’t mean you laugh all the time, it only means that the making life exceptionally enjoyable at all times becomes an easy way forward.
Any form of training is not equivalent to taking on a new career, it is a way to enhance existing skills and add to what we already know. This is what Laughter Yoga is. As well as being a training that teaches you a way forward on deciding for a new career path.
The 5-day Laughter Yoga Teacher Training includes discussions about how to set up in business along with learning presentation skills and powerful ways of facilitating workshops and delivering training events.
