Meet Pady O’Connor, Clown Doctor and Artistic Director of MeeMee Theatre speaking in London on 25 April 2017

Clown Doctors exist in the UK, too.

It is with poorly hidden excitement that I ponder on 25 April 2017.

Two amazing individuals are coming to London to introduce their own special brands of life changing health methods.

Patch Adams, MD, who has been introduced many times over the past two months.

And more recently added to the day is Pady O’Connor, one of the UK’s amazing Clown Doctors.

Pady O’ Connor is an Actor, Director and, International Teacher of theatre.

As the Artistic Director of MeeMee Theatre he creates visual, playful, ambitious theatre, transforming spaces using music, visual theatre and creative making, this allows people the freedom and confidence to journey through learning, curiosity and discovery.

So exciting.

The agenda for 25 April at Theatre Royal Drury Lane in Catherine Street, London, is as follows:

And there is more to say about Pady…

A huge part of his work and philosophy has been about nurturing and sharing the skills that he has learned through his training, and performing. He has always worked with young people and adults with mixed abilities, as well as artists, practitioners and has a great passion for this.

It has led Pady to work for the last eighteen years nationally and internationally in this area, leading projects with many of the major organisations and outreach programmes in Newcastle Upon Tyne and further a field, including; Live Youth Theatre, Lawnmowers theatre company Gateshead, Newcastle University, Newcastle and Gateshead, Sunderland Councils, Sage Gateshead, Baltic, Tin Arts Durham and many Schools and College’s across the region enabling people creative opportunities.

Pady has worked on many international projects, maintaining practical and pedagogical links with performers and companies who have many diverse skills in Africa, France, Spain, New York and, Brazil. Creating international links through projects, workshops and Master-classes, continuously evolving and sharing the techniques of Commedia dell’Arte, Clown, Mask, and the physical movement of the body, he has built a strong foundation for this style to be passed on to others to continue developing for future generations of Artists.
