July has been blazing through the month with hot weather, and super-charged meetings with like-minded, beautiful souls.
My heart is full of joy, gratitude and love for the people who over the years invested in Laughter Yoga as a practice they have either brought to life in their communities at at workplaces, or for themselves in their daily lives.
Some of us had the pleasure and privilege to meet in July and rekindle friendships that were first brought together at the first Laughter Yoga Teacher Reunion in 2019.
Something happened in between…
And there is more to be grateful for, there always is if you wake up from your sleep.
Channel 4 will be airing the Good Grief? programme produced by Heidi Gomes and her team at Bowled Over Media, on 8th August, and I feel truly blessed to have been part of this project. Meeting the very kind-hearted and profoundly reverend Richard Coles was a privilege, and we shared conversation and laughter during the day of filming.
Much is happening in the world of Laughter Yoga and UnitedMind as we all move into August with anticipation and curiosity.
Gratutude is my word for this message. Whichever lesson you may feel is charging you and at you right now, there is always something to be grateful for, and perhaps a message to listen to from your heart.
Going through life with an attitude of gratitude and grace does not make wrongdoings right, it simply makes it easier to find peace.
With Love, Friendship, Honesty, Kindness, Health, Hope, Goodness, Grace, Gratitude, Understanding, Faith, Peace, Forgiveness, Patience, Diligence, Love, Blessings and Joy

On 8th August the programme Good Grief? will show on Channel 4 in the UK.
Channel 4 writes in their press release:
When Reverend Richard Coles’ husband David died at the end 2019, he became a widower at the age of 57 and found himself alone for the first time in 12 years. As someone who is surrounded by death in his profession, he thought he’d be well equipped to deal with it but when it happened to him, he realised he wasn’t.
Now, in Good Grief? a new one off documentary for Channel 4, Rev Coles is exploring the subject of grief and how to live with it positively. We will join him on a literal and metaphorical journey across the choppy waters of bereavement as he endeavours to open up the conversation about grief.Follow the link above for the full press release on Channel 4.

Second to None Benefits Part 7
As I was recording Episode 2 of the Laughter Yoga programme for Mind Body Medical earlier this week I could not help but feel slightly stressed or perhaps rather under pressure. Maybe that is the same thing…
That was of course my own fault for being last minute with this task.
As it goes, the episode was about stress and the neurology of stress, how we can find laughter and use it to our advantage.
A 25 minute recording was in the making and I was adamant to do it in one take. Something my friend, Deon, would only a day later comment on that there are more easy ways to do it and great ways to make transitions interesting and great, and in addition he mentioned that he could easily teach me how to do it. Great!
Well, it was in fact great because how do you learn if you are not presented with the opportunity of learning. So, the plan is now in place!
Back to my 25-minute recording…
I was set and I was in the zone.
Last few minutes and at the closing of the video my doorbell rang. Judging by the lenght of the buzz I knew it was my postman.
Andrew is great and I know when he is at the door, usually he rings once and if no reply he gets in anyway and leaves my post outside my door. However, not today!
First buzz I laughed it off in the video and made reference to daily stress factors, those ‘free-floating hostilities’ we cannot predict.
He buzzed again and not only that buzz but in additon to the door-buss our Buzz (the resident Alaskan Malamute and great friend) came over to remind me that Postman Andrew was at the door.
That was the video done – not as in done and ready but as in messed up and ready for re-take.
I could have cried.
But I did not do such a thing. I opened the door to my postman and we laughed and laughed, I explained and he apologised ever so much and then we laughed again, because it really was not his fault on any account.
He complimented my way of handling the situation knowing that I had more work ahead of me.
So the essence is, when you cannot do anything about it what is the point of blowing off the handle and getting upset.
Laughter has taught me many thing and one of them is to laugh in the face of stress even if I sometimes do cry out of despair.
Laughter feels great and tears are also a valid option when all comes crashing down. Most often than not there is laughter after tears even so.
There are even more benefits to laughing and I may continue to share them with their little stories and anekdotes as we move further into autumn and winter, then spring and summer once again.
I hope you will continue to enjoy reading about the benefits of practicing Laughter Yoga, and even consider learning the technique for yourself or your group of people in your community or workplace so you, too, can make positive, live-able change count.
