Laughter Yoga and Diabetes
Laughter Yoga has benefits to people with a number of conditions but diabetes is one that is spreading fast and is in some circles expected to be the number one killer in the near future.
Please visit the Laughter and Research Page where you can find the link to the Slovenia research on this particular subject.
A laughter workshop addresses a number of challenges faced by many people and most often everyone feel re-charged and refresheshed with a boost to their health and wellbeing.
However, in order to fully experience long-term benefits, long-term programmes such as the 8-week Laughter Coaching programme, or variations, are essential.
The success of any programme – not just Laughter Yoga programmes – is in the hands of the partificant!
Stoptober – smokes out!
Another small repeat – but it concerns us all.
The follow on from smoking have an often detrimental effect on our health and wellbeing. Active smoking, passive smoking – smoking has a health effect.
However, sometimes I hear about people who have been smoking a long life without experiencing anythings – except perhaps a bit shortness of breath, coughing, plenty of colds and flu over the years, but nothing to worry about… Funny, that – I would imagine a lot of these symptoms could have been avoided by not smoking.
Laughter Yoga increases the net-supply of oxygen to our lungs and our body altogether, when we practice our breathing and learn to activate and use the diaphram for further benefits.
If you follow the 8-week programme as you will be coached to do and are not smoke-free in 8-week I guarantee you a refund!
This programme is for people who want to give up.

Gibberish in Durham and St Albans
Claire, who came on the Gibberish Training earlier in 2014, put it really eloquently when she talked about her experience on the Certified Gibberish Training earlier this year.
She learned to listen to people from a completely different angle where body language and expression, emotions and tone were key instead of the words being spoken. And in all fairness, how many times have we probably all misjudged the words because we didn’t pay attention to the ‘surrounding stuff’. Gibberish removes meaning from the words but improves communication ten-fold when we connect and listen at a completely different level.
The courses are for everyone who wants to learn new skills and learn new ways of letting go and communicating powerfully. If you think Gibberish is not for you then it probably is most certainly for you.
Certified Gibberish Training on 7 March 2015 in St Albans and on 13 December 2014 in Durham – make sure you book because there are limited spaces available at only £50 – a really good investment of your time, money and your whole self!

Laughter Yoga Training – what a hoot!
It really was a superb event and the learning took place on so many different levels for everyone in the group of 16 people plus me.
On the Saturday we opened the doors from 12noon to 1pm for everyone who wanted to come to a Laughter Club session. Fun, fun, fun!
I am excited to tell you that the originally scheduled date in November which was later cancelled, 22-23 November 2014, has been reinstated and booking is not availble. Please don’t hesitate!
This training is truly transformational and with the various conditions we all brought to the weekend this time there was a lot of healing and recovery taking place.
Now then – I am incredibly left brained and as I mentioned in an email to you I am recovering from ME/CFS and also have asthma. So in addition to other treatments/approaches I have tried, I am really interested to see how the laughter yoga goes over time.
My noticings just from this weekend were amazing and I wanted to share them with you as a thank you.
Insomnia is a big part of ME/CFS and I had not slept Friday or Saturday night (and before that in the week). I am often awake with many unpleasant feelings including pain and being over adrenalised. On the Saturday night after day one I tried some of the exercises in the night but because I was sharing the camper van with Julia I did them silently. It really did help to reduce the stressful feelings in my body from the CFS and also from not being able to sleep.
After many nights of not much sleep I was a little concerned as to how I would get through the day on Sunday not least as we had our presentation. I found I was able to focus more easily with a combination of the laughter techniques and some of the other ME/CFS techniques I am learning. Yeah!
I also noticed a tightening and strengthening of my abdominal muscles just in two days and my breathing became deeper and my body much less contracted.
I now find driving very difficult and have not driven for longer than an hour in over three years and only twice have I done that. I used to love driving and think nothing of long journeys. My drive to Julia’s was just under two hours before then she drove us to and back from St Albans. On my drive back I decided to try gibberish and laughter and was amazed at how grounded I was and focused even tho speaking gibberish. And wat amazed me was I couldn’t stop! It was as if I had years of unsaid stuff that just came pouring out with the gibberish. 1 and 1/2 hours it naturally lasted until I just didn’t need to do it any more. I felt really good afterwards and not drained at all. It completely took me out of left brain. And rather than being distracted from driving I was more focused and confident. An amazing experience!
So thank you Lotte so much for being such an inspiration.
Laughter Yoga truly impact our overall health and wellbeing – don’t just take MY word for it!
I used to love the yoga nindra we had during our week’s training in July but I was too scared to even think about attempting to deliver them in any session; until today that is. I paid a lot more attention in the way you performed it so beautifully today and I feel I should seriously consider incorporating them into my sessions. Purely for whole amazing experience the participant will have from it!
Another thing I noticed was the difference in my own pain today from how I felt while driving to come to St Albans on Saturday morning to how I felt driving back today. It’s a wonderful feeling when you can be somewhat pain-free. I was so caught up with all the other things in my life and it had been affecting my pain but today when I felt so much better it just reminded me that I really need to start delivering the workshops very soon as they will benefit me as well as the other people.
Thank you again for everything and for uplifting me this weekend again.
It touches, moves and inspires me to read the messages from people who benefitted so much and bring their experience into their communities, both personally and professionally.
