The day is finally here!
World Laughter Day is upon us and we celebrate the day on Sunday 1 May 2016.

Definitely a great celebration!

Mental Health Awareness Week
When our young people go to shcool they are put under so much pressure that many end up with anxiety, depression, and anger issues. No one teaches how to deal with this in school…
For the development of great mental and emotional health it is essential to take ownership of what doesn’t work and make the change! Not just in discussion but in action.
The Big Happiness Experiment spearheaded by Jules Mitchell is rolling out in parts of the UK incorporating mindfulness, meditation and laughter into the days or young people.
A new film by the controversial Michal Moore (Bowling for Columbine and Fahrenheit 9/11) has aired and there was a clip from Finland about school children and how play is incorporated into young people’s schooldays instead of constant test-pressure.
I hope you will take the time and get inspired by the 3-minute clip on https://www.facebook.com/londonplay.charity/videos/956499087796724/.
The magic of play.
Play makes young people whole and social beings who stay whole and motivated through life. Laughter Yoga keeps you on your toes with your playtime as adult in order to maintain emitional and mental health altogether!
However, as this is not the current situation, and many people regardless of age go through the constant battle of mental health conditions, we bring focus and attention to this growing challenge during Mental Health Awareness Week from 16-22 May 2016.
Healthy relationships are one of the keys to maintaining good mental health, and learning to bring more laughter into your life has the potential of improving relationships big-time.
People with mental health challenges come on the Certified Laughter Yoga Training courses to bring more laughter and solutions into their lives – and the results are amazing!
Laughter Yoga is for everyone!
Over the week of Mental Health Awareness UnitedMind will be laughing in the Bushey Rose Garden Laughter Club on 16 May, with Headway on 17 May, with Osteoporosis patients on 18 May and with our St. Albans seniors later in the day!
Please contact us if you would like to laugh with us to promote mental, emotional as well as physical health.
Or for more information about Laughter Training or Laughter Therapy for you or your team, organisation, group, please contact us on email, firstname.lastname@example.org, or mobile 07736 341 717
It was a wonderful weekend of exploring laughter from a different perspective than the rather physical Laughter Yoga method.
This training ties in beautifully with anyone working with Mental Health and in organisations promotion Mental and Emotional Health.
Where Laughter Yoga takes you on an instantly refreshing journy through physical activities with simulated laughter, Laughter Therapy leads you to your laughter sometimes via your tears and frustration but first and foremost you learn to let go of what is not beneficial or you in order to find and access your true laughter freely and genrously.
What a couple of days.
The training has been uniquely developed by UnitedMind over the past many years, and is for people who work in the health sector, in mental health organisations, in schools, in workplaces, health champions, yoga professionals, holistic health practitioners people who are Laughter Yoga trained, and those who want to release their laughter.
What do you know to be ‘true’ about your own laughter?
Learn how to re-connect with your laughter through Laughter Therapy, and learn how you can help other unlock their stored stuff in order to release real laughter.
- 27-28 August in St Albans – last chance £350 book before 30/4-2016
- 3-4 September in Durham – last chance £350, book before 30/4-2016
Or you can book your 8-week One On One Laughter Coaching Programme and get closer to your real laughter through the practice of Laughter Yoga exercises.

Laughter Conference and Festival – and a whole week
Laughter Festival brings people together with a smile!
The Laughter Conference takes place on Friday 10 June 2016 and the line up is looking better and better!
Our key-note speakers are from a variety of work areas and we are proud to present
- Professor Janet Lord, who will describe how our immune system starts to fail as we age, making us more susceptible to infections. She will also explain how stress makes this worse and why we are less able to deal with stress as we age. She will finish by discussing the benefits of reducing stress especially for older adults.
- Giggleologist Jules Mitchell, who will be speaking about The Big Happiness Experiment which is currently rolling out in schools in the surrounding area of Birmingham
- Diretor of HumourUs Kate Hull Rodgers, who will take us on a journey through life with bipolar and her triumph over darkness and mental illness
More to come!
