What is Kinesiology?
Kinesiology refers to the study of muscles and movement in the body.
It is a way of identifying blockages and imbalances by observing the way muscles respond to the gentle application of pressure.
Muscles are considered as indicators or monitors of stress and imbalance within the body.
Hence 'Muscle Testing' is used to detect those imbalances, thus addressing the underlying causes of disease or malfunction.
What will Kinesiology do for me?
A Kinesiology treatment does not focus on specific health conditions, but instead serves to identify imbalances throughout the whole body.
Once discovered a whole variety of correction techniques can be applied depending on the nature of the imbalance. For example
- Nutritional support in the form of vitamins, minerals, herbs etc. to redress nutritional deficiencies or clear out toxins
- Muscle balancing to correct structural problems - i.e. overtight muscles are relaxed, weak muscles are strengthened
- Release of psychological or emotional stress
- Massaging of reflex and acupressure points to balance the energy flow through the body
